In her freshman year at Shenandoah, Nicolette discovered a love for producing and arts leadership through her work for The Playwrights Performance Group, where she produced over 25 student- written, directed, and performed short plays. Nicolette pushed boundaries for Playwrights by creating more equity in casting, exploring new mediums (such as musical pieces and absurdist theatre), expanding audiences beyond the theatre department, and creating virtual readings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This experience led Nicolette to not only pursue a Masters in Performing Arts Leadership and Management at Shenandoah ('21), but also dive into a number of other arts management experiences.

After a brief hiatus, Nicolette has also put her teaching hat back on! Currently, she is working as the Musical Theatre Instructor at The Music Academy for Special Learners, and the Acting Instructor for Smithtown Performing Arts Center's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive. As an educator, Nicolette strives to create a safe, accessible, and positive learning environment for her students that encourages creativity, individuality...and fun!
